The exhibition project “sich unverfügbar verknoten” (knot available) by the neue Gesellschaft für bildende Kunst (nGbK) in Berlin invites international artists to explore the power of property ownership with narrative-poetic works and in a web series. The project plans to use legal analyses to challenge institutionally protected forms of property. Five new productions will artistically present what influence the access to our bodily autonomy has and how communal life and work can be shaped through crisis – beyond social classification, standardisation and exclusion. The presented works aim to deconstruct the current logics of property ownership and instead promote alternative, solidarity-based forms of relationship oriented around reciprocal care.
