The Tanztriennale is the latest cultural beacon in the field of dance. The international selection committee has now nominated two outstanding women to head its first edition in 2026: the dramaturge Monica Gillette and the dance curator Gwen Hsin-Yi Chang.

New programmes at a glance

On 11 July 2024, the Board of Trustees approved three new programmes:

LOKAL – Programme for Culture and Engagement promotes artistic co-operation between cultural players and new partners such as sports clubs or voluntary fire brigades in towns and municipalities with fewer than 100,000 inhabitants

Art & AI (working title) provides artists' groups and cultural institutions with resources to explore the aesthetic potential of AI technologies and reflect on their social impact

Übermorgen – New Models for Cultural Institutions invites cultural institutions in large cities to create space for fundamental innovations, e.g. through experimental utilisation concepts or new municipal cooperations
