The literary encounter Journeys to the Word Worlds begins with the works of the great travel writer Cees Nooteboom and then takes diverse routes into the narrated world. Starting with readings by the writer and his poet friends, the participants will attempt to follow the text in discussions and lectures. This literary encounter will actually be an artistic encounter in a literary world featuring a variety of works which speak their own language, such as photography, taken during Nooteboom's journeys, and contemporary music performed to poems by Paul Celan and Cees Nooteboom.
