What does it mean to live in a digital world? To what degree has the omnipresent Internet changed our attitudes and lifestyles, and how can theatre respond to this as a place of encounter? Cobratheater.cobra and the Theater an der Parkaue in Berlin have co-founded the “House of Digital Youth” to explore whether and in what form theatre can proactively address the hyper-complexity of today’s information society in a contemporary manner.
The project kicked off by transforming the Prater venue into a place of digital commotion for three days: the “Prisma” festival presented numerous events in which the audience can feel, watch and playact the digital future. This will be followed by the writing workshop “Logbook”, which will culminate in a new play based on the text material collectively produced and developed by the participants. Additional events include the Internet fairy-tale “Wolf of Internet” on the subject of virtual identity and the concluding summer camp "Parkaue.Park" in 2017.
