SETanztheater and the Stadttheater Ingolstadt are taking on the challenge of establishing a new dance theatre department at the theatre. The ensembles of both theatres are working together to jointly examine their respective working methods and structures. The anticipated “disruption of operations” is something that both cooperation partners readily welcome.

In the project “foreignBody”, SETanztheater focuses on inclusion and integration of its theatre audience. The aim is to open the boundaries separating the audience from the performers. The viewers will become active performance and dialogue partners, protagonists on stage. Three dance theatre projects for ensemble and amateurs will invite the citizens of Ingolstadt onto the stage and integrate them in their role as audience members. The productions will be accompanied by dance theatre workshops for audience members who will then serve to mediate between the traditionally separated spheres in the performances.
