Club Real of Berlin and the Kleist Forum in Frankfurt/Oder wish to develop a new practice in collective art production and the use of urban space. In dialogue with city residents, the project hopes to come up with new design solutions and ideas for using vacant and dilapidated cultural venues in Frankfurt/Oder and the neighbouring Polish city of Słubice. The motto “Folk Theatre” stands for an urban population that gets involved and works collectively to develop new forms of cooperative artistic activity in their city.
