Projektbeschreibung
The theatre collective Henrike Iglesias and the Thai artist/performer Miss Oat are working together on a joint theatre project that investigates how people deal with death, mourning and loss in various cultural contexts. The performance explores what a utopian “afterlife”, free of religious and political influence, might look like. The artistic inspiration and narrative frame are based on the theory of the “multiverse” which holds that an infinite number of parallel universes exists where theoretically anything and everything is possible. Performances will be staged simultaneously in Bangkok and Berlin. The audiences will be able to interact in real time via smartphone, thereby connecting the parallel performances. The software, which has been custom-designed for the performance context, will be further developed together with the programmer bleeptrack during the project run.
