Examples to follow!

What solutions can art provide us in the face of global challenges like climate change, the depletion of fossil fuels and the loss of biodiversity? The exhibition "Examples to follow!" focuses on the cultural and aesthetic dimension of sustainability. Like an expedition in aesthetics and sustainability, the curators venture out in search of creative objects and approaches which enhance the viability of our society. They emphasize practices which combine artistic methods with the experiences and activities of environmental organizations, and present artistic positions which address environmental issues, e.g. renewable sources of energy, climate change, recycling, upcycling and sustainable development. The exhibition is designed as a think-tank and workshop for artists, scientists, inventors and visitors. The participating artists have developed models, courses of action, inventions, prototypes and materials in which artistic and technical innovation merge. Visitors will have the chance to purchase shares of stock in the production and development of the inventions and prototypes.

The three-part publication (external link, opens in a new window) "Examples to follow!" is made up of a catalogue, a reader with artistic and scholarly and scientific contributions by artists, scientists and scholars, with essays, stories, examples, construction manuals, applications, shares, and a separable part especially for children.
