Niebla

The young composer Elena Mendoza-López is especially interested in developing new forms of musical theatre and exploring the musical aspects of speech. In order to interweave music and theatre, she has composed music for a new theatre piece based on the novel Niebla by Miguel de Unamuno, in which she also participated as co-director. Working closely with director Matthias Rebstock, she aimed to break down the traditional barriers separating the artistic areas of libretto, music and performance.
