75th anniversary of Carlfriedrich Claus
The works of artist Carlfriedrich Claus († 1998) visually and acoustically explore the dimensions of human consciousness. Language is both the central theme and the material he uses in his art. Influenced by Dadaistic sound poems and futuristic language experiments, Claus created complex visual and acoustic compositions. Today, these "language sheets" and "sound processes" are regarded as some of the most fascinating examples of international art since 1945. This project will feature his complete cross-media works, research its influences and explore Carlfriedrich Claus's artistic heritage.
