Critical Societies

The most recent exhibition project by the Badischer Kunstverein - the second oldest association of its kind in Germany - takes Luc Boltanski's and Eve Chiapello's book "The New Spirit of Capitalism" as a starting point and then examines the forms of criticism which have influenced international art since the 1970s. The project is designed as an ongoing process; the structure of the exhibition will be frequently altered and supplemented by lectures, symposiums and publications.
